The Manly-Warringah Choir performs predominantly classical choral concerts of a high standard on the Northern Beaches. Our objective is to broaden the range of cultural activities available in the Manly, Warringah and Pittwater local government areas while providing an artistic and social outlet for choir members.
We mostly sing large classical choral works accompanied by an orchestra, though we also challenge ourselves with other genre to bring variety to our members and audience. In a typical year the choir presents three major public concerts in the local area, as well as performing at a broad spectrum of community events.
Our performances provide an opportunity for talented young singers and musicians to further their careers.
The choir consists of between 70 and 90 members of all ages and abilities, and our audiences range from 200 to 400.
Dr Carlos Alvarado is our very talented professional Musical Director and Conductor with an international reputation. We are accompanied by noted orchestral musicians ranging in numbers from 5 to 50, and often perform with up to five soloists.
The choir rehearses on Thursday nights at the Collaroy Plateau Public School from 7.30 to 10 pm in a very friendly atmosphere.
New Members are always welcome. No auditions are necessary. If you are interested, or would like any other information regarding the choir, please contact Pat Hughes on 9918 9170 or click here to send an email.
